Da Gawd's groin is in the news (no homo).
Preventing Gilbert from achieving his very "America, Fuck Yeah" ambitions of winning the basketball world cup is a nagging groin strain, which will shelve teh gawd for the remainder of the World Championships. Normally, I think I would be irate. This was Gilbert's chance to shine, finally step into the spotlight that he so rightfully deserves. But honestly, I am a little happy the dude is coming home. It will be a long season of rehab for the gawd-groin (or GG), and its going to be his performance at the Verizon Center that will matter in the long run. These world championships had frightened me due to the possibility of injury in the regular season, and its a relief to know that this is the extent of the problems and not something more debilitating. But still, fuck Kirk Hinrich.
